We are thrilled to offer a focused community for youth and teens to grow, learn and transform as they connect with the heart of God and discover their true identity in Him!
Culture Shock Youth gatherings are hosted every other week on Saturdays from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Location: 442 Shadowwood Dr., Leicester NC 28748.
This ministry, led by Jeff and Katie Jackson, serves ages 12 – 18.
Here’s a personal note from Jeff and Katie, sharing their heart for the ministry:
Back in August 2020, we heard a call from the Lord to start a youth fellowship. The Lord’s heart in this is to be very community-focused. This gathering had its first meeting in October 2020 and the Lord has blessed us ever since.
The name of our fellowship is Culture Shock. This name serves 3 purposes. First, going through the teenage years can be a culture shock. A teen is not a child anymore, nor is he/she an adult yet. Second, it is a culture shock when we transition from the world’s way of doing things to God’s way of doing things. Praise the name of the Lord that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. And third, once we have experienced the Lord’s culture, we are then to bring a culture shock to the world.
Culture Shock is geared toward teens ages 12-18. We welcome teens from all backgrounds, churched or non-churched. We simply wish to show the love of Christ to all. Every meeting we enjoy food, games, a lesson from God’s heart and a song of worship to the Lord.
We invite your son or daughter to come hang out with us. The teens in our gathering are very sweet and love welcoming new people.
